The Oceania SSB contest 2012

It is the first time I've decided to put some effort into the SSB part of this contest (I'll be very serious next weekend in the CW section).
I'm not very keen on SSB contesting, but it is fun.. I may even get to like it.  At the moment I'm taking it very easy... spent operating a few hours yesterday and some today (Sunday).

The condx are not very good... The 10 m band is very, very quiet so far.

I'll add the stats to this blog after the contest.

It was interesting to meet the friends...

First being called by Peter VK2TPM, then had a chat with Greg VK2XE being busy in the contest, later Barry VK2BJ, Steve VK3TDX (who by the way had already great number or QSOs, Later still Mirek VK6DXI who called couple of times for mulitpliers... (having the highest number I've recorder from all).
All having great fun.

Had a problem with the computer... kept crashing the N1MM program... very frustrating..

It's Monday and I have time to do  the "post mortem" of the results:

 Band    QSOs    Pts  Pfx
         3.5       1      10    1
           7      18      90   15
          14     215     215  164
          18       5      0    5
          21      70     140   54
       Total     309     455  239

            Score : 108,745

This is interesting:

The results of the Commonwealth contest were published.

As I member of the team Australia 2, I was quite pleased with the result.
